ST. MICHAEL
the archangel
family of parishes
What will the meals be?
Each host parish is generously providing dinner for everyone who attends the mission. Dinner is between 5:00 & 6:15pm. The schedule is as follows: Sunday - St. Luke Monday - St. Brigid Tuesday - Mary, Help of Christians
Where is the Lenten Mission happening?
The Mission will take place over three nights at three of the Parishes in our Family of Parishes. The first night is at St. Luke. The second is at St. Brigid. The third is at Mary, Help of Christians.
Are the talks the same every night?
No, each talk will have a different focus every night.
If I can't make it for a night, should I not come to the rest of the mission?
The Lenten Mission is intended to be experienced as a whole. So, we recommend trying to attend every night. However, we highly encourage everyone to come to whatever they can, even if it is only one talk on one night.
Can I come even if I haven't Registered?
YES! No one is being asked to register for the mission itself. Out of courtesy to our teams assisting with childcare and providing meals we are asking for registrations by March 6 to establish accurate expectations. Please do not stay home only because you didn't register.
Driving at night is difficult for me. Is there anything available during the day?
There is discuission of a daytime offering at St. Luke. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for any updates.
When and where is the Children's program?
The children's program runs concurrently with the Lenten Mission as it occurs in the Church. Parents should drop-off their children between 6:15 and 6:30pm at the host site's location. Parents must sign their children in and out. Sunday, March 8 - St. Luke's Gym Monday, March 9 - St. Brigid's Cafeteria Tuesday, March 10 - Mary, Help of Christians' Parish Center's All Purpose Room
Will there be another time for Confession this Lent?
The Confession times offered during the Lenten Mission (4-6:15 p.m.) represent the Family's unique Lenten opportunity for the Sacrament. However, one can always join us for Reconciliation during our regularly scheduled times (see the St. Michael the Archangel bulletin) or make an appointment with a priest.
My Parish Group usually meets on one of these evening, should we come?
Yes! Any groups hosted at the parishes on these evenings should have deconflicted so that we can all come together for the Lenten Mission. If your group meets off-site, we highly encourage that you make participation in the Lenten Mission possible for all involved.
